Gold Coast Hot Air Balloon Ride

It was a once in a lifetime experience.. Ben, our Baloon flight captain was outstanding. It was a great site to go Balooning, mesmerising to see the sun rise and the beautiful meadows. Totally worth it. It was so pleasant, serene and quiet up in the air 5000ft above the ground. We could see the gold coast and Brisbane skyline. it was indeed a 7 star experience. the pick up was on time and the coach was comfortable. the whole flying experience was top notch.

Very stable and safe. They arrived at the hotel on time at 3 o'clock to pick people up by minibus. There was a bathroom break in the middle, and then they arranged for us to board the hot air balloon. We could see the ignition process, watch the sunrise in the hot air balloon, and flew for about 45 minutes. Some groups flew for a longer time and further, depending on the driver. Afterwards, we all packed up the hot air balloon together and got back on the bus. First, we went to the hotel for a buffet breakfast. The bus will take guests who did not choose the buffet breakfast to their pick-up point. The buffet is at The Star Hotel, which is very lavish 👍🏻

We purchased the hot air balloon + breakfast package. After taking the last train and bus from Brisbane, we waited for the tour bus (with "The Scenic Day Tour Group" written on the side) at The Star Gold Coast hotel at 3:15 am. After a 30-45 minute drive, we arrived at a stop for a toilet break, and then after about 30 more minutes, we arrived at the hot air balloon launch point. The instructor had already set up and was preparing to light the balloon, so after about 15 minutes, everyone boarded the hot air balloon and took off. We flew in the air for about 45-60 minutes, at an altitude of ~5000 ft. The flight was even more stable than the bus ride. Finally, when landing, the tour bus was already waiting at the endpoint. The passengers and the instructor packed up the hot air balloon together (deflating it). After about 15 minutes, we boarded the tour bus and left, and then returned to The Star Gold Coast at 7:00 am for breakfast. Overall, the whole experience was very worthwhile. The instructor and staff were professional and efficient.

Pick-up is at 3:30 AM in The Star hotel lobby. The vehicle will make a stop along the way for restroom use. The weather is very cold in the morning, so dress warmly. Upon arrival, staff will show everyone the preparations for the hot air balloon, after which you can climb into the basket. Pants are a must. Chris was our hot air balloon pilot this time, and he's very experienced. The ascent and descent were both very stable. However, don't expect the kind of scene you see in Turkey with many hot air balloons rising and falling together. There aren't any other hot air balloons around, just ours. The weather was great, we were able to see the sunrise and see very far into the distance.

Our hotel pickup in Gold Coast was at 3:40 AM. After visiting several hotels, we drove for about 40 minutes, then had a 20-minute restroom and tea break, followed by another 10-minute drive to the hot air balloon launch site. It was still dark. As soon as we boarded the basket, we ascended quickly, rising high into the sky. At first, I was very scared, but I gradually got used to it and was able to see animals like sheep and kangaroos. I was also happy that they took many photos for us. It was a wonderful experience!

A must-try once in a lifetime! Waking up at 3 AM to wait for the hotel pickup was tough, but the moment I got on the hot air balloon, it was all worth it! Watching the sunrise from above, with the entire Gold Coast beneath my feet, was a breathtaking and serene experience. The flight was very stable, and even though I'm a little afraid of heights, I didn't feel scared at all. The whole process was very well-organized, and the staff were professional and courteous, making me feel completely safe. Although I didn't participate in the champagne breakfast, the pure flying experience was satisfying enough. It's perfect for taking photos and checking in on social media, making the whole morning feel special! The only thing to note is that the flight might be canceled due to bad weather, so it's recommended to keep some flexibility in your itinerary. Overall, it's a worthwhile and unforgettable experience that you'll regret missing out on!

Felt very safe throughout the experience, and the views of the sea of clouds and sunrise from the hot air balloon were incredibly beautiful. The staff were professional and friendly. Highly recommend this trip.

This was an unforgettable experience. The driver arrived promptly at the hotel at 3:00 AM to pick us up. Some people were late, but thankfully it didn't delay the sunrise. The drive from the city to the hot air balloon launch site took about 45 minutes to an hour. The mountain roads were steep, and the driver was going fast, which felt a little dangerous. The hot air balloon took off around 5:00 AM and was very stable. The staff took photos for us. The basket was a bit high, making it a little difficult to get in and out. There were 21 passengers in the hot air balloon, and the basket felt a bit cramped, but the beautiful scenery made us forget everything. The entire flight lasted about an hour. The pilot had over 30 years of hot air ballooning experience and was very professional. He explained and introduced the area along the way. It was a pity we didn't see any kangaroos. The hot air balloon landed on a farm, and there were many cows nearby, which was very interesting. After landing, everyone worked together to pack up the hot air balloon, and then we headed to the hotel for a buffet breakfast. We arrived at the hotel around 7:30 AM, but the meeting time was 8:15 AM, which I thought was a bit rushed. The hotel buffet breakfast ended at 10:00 AM, so we decided to return to the hotel on our own so we could enjoy breakfast properly.

This hot air balloon experience is definitely worth trying!😆 First of all, the staff picked us up from the hotel entrance and took us to the venue. After arriving, we quickly got on the hot air balloon to prepare for taking off and welcoming the sunrise. The inside of the hot air balloon is very stable. Although there are no safety measures (seat belts, buckles), as long as you don't do anything dangerous, your safety is definitely guaranteed. The pilot will observe the environment and weather throughout the flight, and will also update the situation, and will answer our questions about the hot air balloon🙋🏻‍♂️
